Counselling
How it all began....
The road to becoming a counsellor has been a long but not unexpected one. I was lucky enough to have been able to study Psychology, which was always a special interest of mine, in high school and through my first Bachelor's degree. Having come from a background where I experienced trauma as a young person, I grew up wanting to be able to help others in this capacity. So much so that in my high school year book under "What would you like to do in the future?", my response was "Help people".
Through some interesting twists of fate I discovered homeopathy which is wonderful for healing psychological wounds but through practice I realised that I wanted to be able to offer my clients a much more rounded-out experience in consultation. As a homeopath we do need to understand the mental and emotional back story of someone seeking help but once this is done, homeopathic theory doesn't always allow for comprehensive psychological care and support. I wanted to fill this gap and can now offer clients either straight up counselling - no homeopathy involved, or a homeopathic-counselling approach to tackle big problems from a number of angles. What I love about this practice is how well the two modalities work together.

All homeopathic consultations will have counselling as part of the process where indicated, and straight counselling sessions can be booked online by choosing the "Counselling" option. I practice trauma informed counselling and I practice with understanding, care & compassion.
